Hi there!  My name is Anna, and I am an emergency/trauma nurse and the one behind all things LeaRNCo Nursing.   

 

LeaRNCo was born in the middle of my own nursing school adventure.  Through trial and error, I found that my study sessions were most effective when I created concept maps to organize the material into a format my brain could process.  LeaRNCo has since blossomed into so much more!  Even though the concept maps are still available, I have pivoted to focus on my passion - supporting nursing students. 

 

Through my own nursing clinical assignments and experience as a preceptor, I found a gap in the traditional nursing education structure.  So many nursing students feel unprepared and anxious about their clinical rotations!  Nursing students often do not receive clear direction on what is expected of them in the clinical setting, but also what they should expect from the nurses they shadow.  I have created content that outlines these expectations and gives suggestions to help students be better prepared to navigate their clinical assignments.

 

Our ultimate goal and LeaRNCo Nursing is to build nursing student confidence by providing information from the nurse’s perspective with a solid understanding of what it is like to be a student.  Students will find a combination of best practices, study tips, soft skills, and lots of humor to make the content relatable and easy to recall.
